About the Briefing
The internet has created a host of business risks. Cybercrime is now the fastest growing sector of organised crime increasing at a rate of 40% per year. Many businesses are not protected from these risks which include hacking, information misuse, fraud and virus transmission. Managed incorrectly Cybercrime can result in damaged networks, expensive lawsuits and tarnished reputations not to mention considerable business interruption, and revenue loss. Allied to this is the threat of non-compliance with changing regulations which many companies may be unaware is a further liability facing their business. Matt Rafferty, General Manager of QBE Ireland, the business insurance specialist, will provide an in-depth analysis of the issues facing companies from cyber threats and what companies can do to avoid unnecessary losses from these threats.
