What happens at the event?

The workshop is based on Bid Managements Service's Tender Training Excellence Programme and is aimed sole traders, small businessess and SMEs who wish to secure a share of the €90 billion in public works, supplies and services that will be procured by the Irish Government over the next five years.

The workshop will cover key elements of this Programme such as:

  1. The latest information about tender opportunities
  2. Responding to framework agreement mini-competitions
  3. The new features of the 2014 Procurement Directives
  4. Completing the European Single Procurement Document and Tender Response Documents
  5. Contract management
  6. Reducing the cost of bidding
  7. The Dynamic Purchasing System
  8. Top Ten Tender Tips

The Tender Training Excellence Programme is based on the much- acclaimed book Public Procurement Rules of the Road, written by Peter Brennan who will deliver the training

The workshop will also allow particpants who have general issues about tendering to discuss these with Peter Brennan.

Peter Brennan, Chairman of Bid Management Services, advises suppliers and buyers throughout the island on complex tender competitions, provides training in advanced tendering techniques and presents at national events.

The workshop will be of interest to businessess that are interested in public sector tendering or those who wish to get involved for the first time.
