Event Name: Consultations - Entering the Chinese Market via Cross-Border eCommerce
Event Date: 23/08/2017
Event Time: 09:00
Seat Rate: Free
Remaining Places: 7
Venue: Dublin Chamber, 7 Clare St, Dublin 2
Description:

The Enterprise Europe Network offices at Dublin Chamber are pleased to be working with ACTTAO and Mamabud to provide free, confidential one-to-one business consultations to offer insight into how Irish companies supplying B2B/ B2C products or services can enter the Chinese market through cross-border e-commerce.

The consultations are designed to achieve practical outputs for each firm attending, including a China cross-border e-commerce task planning report, links to the EU SME centre, EEN-approved advice and expertise, and service provider referrals.

SMEs face significant challenges accessing the market for their product in China. Cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) is increasingly seen as a viable option but as with any route to that market it requires a considered approach to research, planning and execution.

WeChat-integrated cross-border e-commerce offers potential advantages for SMEs over the traditional reliance for online entry to China via mass e-tailers such as JD.com, yhd.com and Tmall. Issues with these generalist e-tailing platforms include loss of control and independence, prohibitive entry costs, and product infringement or cannibalisation can induce failure.

About ACTTAO

ACTTAO is a Sino-Irish software services firm with offices in China, Ireland and USA that provides cross-border WeChat-integrated e-commerce sales and customer engagement platforms for international brands and suppliers.

About Mamabud

Mamabud is a market access company facilitating fast and cost effective access to Chinese market through cross border ecommerce, removing the risk and cost out of entering the second largest and fastest growing economy in the world.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
