About John McElligott
John is Managing Director of eBay Ireland, and is responsible for building a vibrant eBay community in Ireland.  He joined eBay in January 2006 as Head of Customer Development.  In that role, he focussed on helping sellers to grow their eBay-based business, helping make eBay.ie an attractive marketplace for new business, and conducting educational events. Like most eBay employees, John is also an active eBay Community member, primarily buying and selling vintage car accessories, as well as Kerry GAA memorabilia.  He also uses eBay to find the latest electronic gadgets. Prior to joining eBay, John was a Senior Manager at global management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton in London, focusing on strategy for financial services and retail companies. He has also worked as a Business Analyst for banking group, UBS Ltd. John holds a B Eng from UCC, and an MBA from INSEAD in France.
